Summer is all about Junior Olympics! This year, our Junior Olympic Qualifiers will be June 5-7 for our 12u boys and girls and 14u boys. For the HS age groups, qualifiers will be June 12-14th. This is a very important tournament if we wish to qualify for JO’s at the end of the summer.

JO’s will be in Orange County this year. This year, USA Water Polo is switching the sessions.  Session 1 will be the girls’ session. July 18-21, Session 2 will be for the boys, July 23-26

This summer, we will have a High School girls Comp, and a 16u/14u girls rec. group. The comp group will compete in JOs and other travel tournaments, while the rec group will be focused on improving swim and water polo skills and will participate in local tournaments or scrimmages. 

The first week of practice, we will have a tryout to determine which group the athletes should be in. If you have varsity experience, sign up for the comp group. If you are 14u or a beginner 16u, sign up for the rec group.

• Please register your child in the age group that matches their USA Water Polo age (their age as of August 1, 2026).

 

USA Water Polo Membership

• All athletes must have a current USA Water Polo Membership to participate in practices and games.
• Please renew or upgrade your athlete’s membership at usawaterpolo.org.
• Remember to upload a photo, complete the birth verification, and sign the COVID return to play release waiver through your USA Water Polo account.

Tournament Availability on TeamSnap

Once registered, please log in to TeamSnap and indicate your child’s availability (yes or no) for all listed tournaments as soon as possible. This information is crucial for determining the number of teams to enter by the tournament deadlines. Please be aware that game times and locations are typically released 1-2 weeks, and sometimes just a few days, before the tournament. When marking availability, please plan on staying for all games. We will update TeamSnap with game schedules as soon as they are available.

Reminder, as this is a team sport, it is very important that all athletes are at all games, so we can be sure to have a full team at the tournaments
