SJA Water Polo is excited to announce our Summer 2018 Season!  Practices start Monday, May 14th!

This is the biggest season for SJA Water Polo, with more time for practices and more tourneys.  It’s also the season for the USA Water Polo National Junior Olympics tournament. This year JOs will be held in the Bay Area. And the tournament doesn’t conflict with the cabana club swim championships!  Hurray! Finally, Summer Season is a great opportunity for players of all ages to try the sport, and in many cases get ready for Fall High School season tryouts.

Our practice schedules can be viewed HERE.  Practices will be held four days a week (M-Th) for 18us, 16Us and 14Us.  Our 12U and 10U groups will practice three days a week (M, W, F). Our pool locations are being finalized, and will include Leland High School pool (10U, 12U, 14U Girls, 16U Girls in the afternoons), Willow Glen High School (18U Girls in the late afternoon/early evening), and Santa Teresa High School (pending — 14U Boys, 16U Boys, 18U Boys in the afternoons).  Information about upcoming tournaments, including the Jr. Olympics Qualifiers can be found HERE.

You can now order new SJA competition suits and apparel!

Please go HERE to order your suit! For those new to the sport, we recommend trying on sizing kits to ensure you have the proper fit.  For those who have our current SJA competition suit, you probably know your size, but are welcome to try on to make sure.  We have also added SJA Apparel orders as part of the registration process.  Read our blog, “SJA competition suit & apparel orders”  for detailed information regarding suit orders and to view SJA apparel options.  Suit and apparel orders will close on April 30, so we can assure that suits will arrive by the second half of May!  Feel free to email us at sjawaterpolo@gmail.com with questions.

Our club always welcomes new players.  This includes beginners!

One of the most gratifying developments we’ve seen in the past few seasons is seeing players just starting with the sport rapidly becoming strong players.  Water Polo is one of the fastest growing sports in our area, and we’re thrilled to continue bringing together players across Almaden Valley and nearby communities.  Our excellent coaching staff focuses on teaching the game, helping our players improve, building strong team chemistry/camaraderie and most importantly, having fun!

An important note: Last Summer, we sold out at several age groups.  It is very important to sign up early, and no later than May 7!  Sign up now!
